I’m Finally Starting To See Why The Panthers Didn’t Admit Colonizers.
If you’ve been following my writings, you’re probably familiar with the fact that the Black Panther Party is that which I consider the vanguard of the historical revolution in the United States. You’re probably also familiar with the fact that I don’t particularly care for colonizers, particularly those who call themselves leftists. Most of the Panthers weren’t either, as a matter of fact. Fred Hampton kicked a few notable Weather Underground cadre down a flight of stairs because they didn’t let him use the printer in their office.
The Panthers did not admit colonizers because the affairs of the New Afrikan community must be solved by the New Afrikan people themselves. This does not mean that white people can not be involved in our struggles but there should not be a critical mass of them. Once you get too many colonizers, you have problems and they start to act like…well, colonizers. You get them thinking that it’s okay to issue death threats against black people, or snitchjacket us, or do a variety of other things, or consistently seek engagement on things that are not up for criticism and discussion. Or they get bogged down in dogmatism and other silliness which cripples their efficiency as organizers. In short, they fuck up even when they’re trying to do good. We’ve seen this several times in the history of the Communist movement in the US.
White people should be under oppressed nationality, proletarian leadership. Black people should never be expected to be under colonizer leadership. Whatever a colonizer can say or do, we can do better. Colonizers organizing each other around their class interests leads to fascism, even in a red garb. I support the existence of multinational organizations, but which political line is key. No matter how much reading or Marxist theory they absorb, colonizers will never understand the impact that their fuckery has had on our people. They will always seek the path of least resistance, screw us over and betray us, and derail the revolution if they are not appropriately guided and disciplined. Furthermore, colonizers have no right whatsoever to demand self criticism or rectification programs from Black cadre for things such as “wrecking” (aka confronting racism and harmful organizational trends), “identity opportunism” (aka calling colonizer bullshit what is), and hurting colonizers’ feelings. Their main tasks should be organizing their own people under our guidance, not hounding us with stupid questions or arguing with us.
At the end of the day, the white left must learn that they are, from the perspective of most of our people just as useless and stupid as the rest of the colonizers. Their consistent performativeness, attention seeking behavior and “pick me” behavior is tiresome and wearying. They claim to be and do so much, yet their working class is still fascist, and useless. They do not listen to us, yet love our energy. They claim to be ready to die for us, yet when the Panthers were getting shot, they were nowhere to be found. They don’t come when we call, but when we don’t call here they are. Their analyses are dogmatic, lifeless and bland, and they all seem to think that they are entitled to and deserve a position of leadership after the revolution in exchange for their mediocre efforts. They are in for a big disappointment.
The Panthers didn’t admit colonizers because they realized that colonizers are egotists, cowards fascists and fools in the supreme. My experience on the Left, with colonizer so-called communists threatening me with violence for speaking my mind on their useless organizations and “lines”, people who claim to be anarchists and socialists supporting voting and other things, and supposed communists consistently doing the most insidious and fucked up things to Black people and our work hasn’t convinced me that much has changed. Colonizers must be made into revolutionaries either by life experience or fear of what happens if they don’t become such. Right now, fear seems to be the best option. Unsurprisingly, because they usually don’t listen unless there’s a gun pointed at their head. They must be made to obey and yield their positions, or they will destroy all. This is why the Panthers used to beat the fuck out of them. Ask Zimbabwe and Haiti.
